Jan 14, 2022 (9AM-1PM EST) EDC Readout – Collaborative Alignment
This meeting will open with summary comments from each of the EDCs on their current baseline process, historical data from key research questions, and then proceed to a structured conversation on any priority topics raised from previous stakeholder sessions.

Jan 28, 2022 (9AM-1PM EST) Non-EDC Readout – Collaborative Alignment
Discussion topics will cover technical, financial, and procedural issues regarding the current grid interconnection process. Staff is seeking presentations from non-electric distribution companies (“EDC”) stakeholders that cover a diversity of project size, technologies, and organization types and that represent a diversity of opinions, constituencies, and business models.

Mar 1, 2022 (9AM-12PM EST) Draft Report Review and Comment  
This meeting will walk through and present the Draft Report that will be issued on Feb 18, 2022. The session is designed to elicit last comments that will inform the Final Report production.

This 90 min. session is designed to publicly present the findings and recommendations from the final version of the formal report.

Solar Activity Reports 

New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program solar activity reports provide detailed information for all solar projects that are installed and currently under development in New Jersey. Reports are posted on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 2:00pm EST.

NJ Solar Legislation MSSIA is Tracking:

    • S422
    • Prohibits municipal zoning ordinances from regulating solar panels under certain circumstances; limits fees for certain renewable energy installations.
    • S427
    • Provides CBT tax credit for retrofit of existing warehouses with solar-ready zone once solar panels are installed.
    • S439
    • Directs BPU to establish process to maintain supply and demand for solar renewable energy certificates.
